Editorial Policy

Last updated: August 25, 2026. This policy explains what MatchaNest verifies, what it does not verify, and how readers should interpret product pages.

Documentation-based method

Unless a page explicitly publishes a dated hands-on protocol and evidence, product coverage is based on documentation. Sources can include official product pages, package images, ingredient panels, certifications, care instructions, retailer listings, warranties, and return terms. We identify the exact package or model where possible and distinguish manufacturer claims from our own analysis.

We do not invent purchases, tasting sessions, tea-shop ownership, ceremonial credentials, laboratory results, prices, stock, ratings, certifications, harvests, cultivars, origins, or product performance. Words such as ceremonial, premium, culinary, and latte grade are not treated as independent regulatory certifications.

Comparisons

Powders can be compared by disclosed ingredients, net weight, origin and certification wording, dose directions, storage, package date information, seller, and cost per gram. Tools can be compared by exact model, materials, dimensions, power, included parts, care, warranty, and replacement terms. Documentation-only pages do not receive MatchaNest star scores.

Health, caffeine, and safety

Recipe arithmetic and product listings do not establish caffeine, medical benefit, contaminants, allergens, food safety, or individual suitability. Use the current physical label and qualified professional advice where appropriate.

Affiliate safeguards and corrections

Commission eligibility does not determine inclusion, wording, or placement. Brands and sellers cannot buy a favorable result. If a model, package, ingredient, certification, direction, or citation is wrong, contact us with the page URL and a source; material errors are corrected or removed.
